Summer Shadows

A sharp memory disturbs my bliss  and I am left sobbing,  puzzled…  wondering what overcame me   
The shadows of the past  
shade my sun,  and the cold chill of yesterday  greets me with its empty smile   
I opened my eyes and realized  
that everything’s changed,  that nothing resembles the  
aging memories my heart has tried to keep  
 
I let the tears fall,  and I soon realized  
that it was all because  you were gone… Shift

All I have left are  
those letters and photos  
sitting in the little black box  in the corner of my room  waiting for emotions to fail  for me to open the box  one more time  and remember  hoping we could laugh together  hoping we could cry together  
one last time  lest we forget   
But it sits there  cold and dark

because I know  
we can never forget

It lingers…  As I hold my head up high  and fight the turbulence  of my mind  
and the realities  of life.  But I release,  let go,  and free myself.  But it finds me.   
It lingers…  And all see  is the face  of a stranger  while memories collide  and all is left

Only 2 months gone and already I have 1200+ deviations and 400+ messages?!?!? X____X It's toooo much!!!

Sorry if I never read any of your journals or fave your deviations. x___x Life's just waaaaay too busy.

Anyway, I began to notice that my writing style has shifted from poetry-type writings to prose-type writings. I still do poetry, but I tend to write long prose paragraphs now (well longer than I used to write at least). I write all my poems on tiny pieces of paper, which may explain why many of my poems are incredibly short and why the structure of the poem itself looks rather thin. The problem with this though is that I forget where I put these tiny pieces of paper. XD So, until I find some of my writings, I won't be able to post up anything nice here on DA. X____X

On a side note, I uploaded my very first Deviant ID. It was taken on a stroll at Stanford University during the summer. I'm not much of a photographer. I just decided to put a Deviant ID because that little space on my page looked so empty. =P

Anyway, how's everyone? I feel like a loner now here on DA. X___X Hope none of you guys forgot me.

I'm still alive ok?!? Lol.
